END

That's it! Yan yung mga naging prof ko for my four years stay in UPD.

(and makaka-pag picture na rin with oble and the sunflowers hihi)

Good luck and enjoy every moment of it (pati pag lalakad lakad sa campus to get from one subject to another)! :')

-logging out-

4th yr, 2nd sem

I've got to say... na sobrang na-stress ako sa sem na ito pero na-enjoy ko nonetheless.

Okay, so game! 11 units lang ako this sem hahaha

ELECTIVE (BIOLOGY 12):
LEC: MAMARIL; RODEROS
LAB: BATOMALAQUE

Anyways! sa part ni sir mamaril, dapat lang gawin is pumasok (attendance), mag-aral for his quizzes, and mag-aral for the exams.

Sa lab, just review the plates and the manual (as in memorize yung mga parts ng species and mga scientific name, phylum, class). :) Tip ko for the long exam sa lab is... mag-aral for every quiz kahit kung maliit lang naman percentage nun... because since konti konti mo mine-memorize yung sobrang daming parts of each organism, come the long exam... parang review review nalang ;)

Chem 125 (Instrumental Chem)
LEC: Valera
LAB: PENA; INOCENTES

Pero mag effort parin ha? hahaha, not as effort as the other subjects. Basta mag exam, ipass yung mga dapat i-pass na projects sa lab and exams sa lec and okay ka na.

Sa lec, may exams and reporting. Madali lang ma-exempt from final exam so push para di na mamoblema later on. Sa lab, gagawa ng three projects (gagawa ng spectrophotometer, fluoro, and magnetic stirrer) sa huli pero kaya naman kasi as a group na choose your own ;) so go go go! :)

Chem 200: SOLIS, Jose

AUN hahaha pero put in the work and effort, matatapos din :)

4th yr, 1st sem

ARKIYOLOJI 1: HERNANDEZ, VITO

Hmmmm, daming kwento ni sir and minsan lang ata ako may natutunan about arkiyoloji? :)) Was tempted not to go to class a lot of times dahil 4-5:30 yun and chem lab bago yun. + walang attendance + ang layo kaya ng bldg -_- hahaha pero all in all, okay na rin. Gawin lang yung 2 major papers ni sir, all the other papers na pinapagawa ni sir, and yung exam... and keri na :) Basta nag effort ka and nakita ni sir effort mo, uno na :)

in the end of the day, parang 'practical' sense of arkiyoloji ang matututunan dito. Parang if asked to explain about the 'arkiyoloji' ng isang lugar based on it and its envt, how would you go about it? parang ganun :) hihi

PI 100: CLETO, MARIA
RATING: 9/10

GRABE! Ang effffforrt ng PI 100 okay? hahaha May final project/paper, sobrang daming other papers, and isang report. Di ako magaling magsulat ng papers in Filipino kaya todo effort huhu </3 Pero if gusto mo maraming matutunan, take this :) SOBRAAAANG dami kong nalaman and natutunan kay maam and sa mga kaklase ko (NA PARANG SOBRANG SIPAG AND GALING LAHAT?). The knowledge I gained (wuw? nag english?) was worth all the effort naman :)

PE 2: TEN PIN BOWLING: RIVERA, NOEL

Hmmmm, not more than 2 absences lang and papasa ka na :) Ayoko na i-rate, attendance lang talaga :))

MBB1: Prieto, Eloise
RATING: 9/10

Having taken two biochem subjects (chem 145 and 146), parang review nalng ito :) Ang bait and ang galing ni maam hihi. Not to mention na ang lapit ng mbb building sa chem, YAY! hihi, so aun, makinig lang sa discussions ni maam and basa basa kung first time marinig yung mga ididiscuss na concepts :) Wag ma-pressure sa "Do not take this course lightly" warning ng crs kasi kaya naman i-uno. :) Aun! May exams (na based naman sa lectures ni maam kaya basahin), report, and papers sa mga film viewing lala.

-------

MAJORS NAMAN @_@

Chem 102.2 (Integ biochem/inorg lab): Saluria, Julius Victorius; Maliksi, Cherize
RATING: 10/10

SUUUPER EFFORT! Individual ang mga papers (FRs and RDRs) and usually magkakasabay ang pasahan ng papers ng mga expt + kasabay pa ng mga prob sets, post-lab reports, and pre-labs. And pag effortan makinig sa post-lab discussions and mag review for exams.

PERO SOBRAAAANG GALING NAMAN MAG-DISCUSS NI SIR AND MAAM. Yung mga post-lab reports ng bawat group (yes, lagi mag rereport pag post lab), magtatanong ng suuuper maraming tanong sina sir and maam so mag handa hihi. Pero they're going to answer naman the questions pag di niyo nasagot.

Nung time namin, nag no-notes kami lahat tas may nag re-record pa just in case di namin masulat lahat ng sinasabi ni sir hihihi

Helpful din mag study group for the exams! Buong weekend ata before the exam, nakatambay lang kami katipunan or kaya sa main lib na nag rereview. May exception pala dito! SO, YEY!!! :D

Chem 196 (Seminar): NUESCA, GUILLERMO
RATING: 10/10

Ilang beses ko na ata naging prof si sir? hahaha aun, gawin mo lang report mo (which is most prolly yung chapters 1-3 ng thesis mo), submit yung poster abstract, and attend the class lagi and uno ka na :) Chill lang ito, kaya nga 1 unit siya eh. And mababait naman mga profs here + may tips sila on how to write your thesis manus :)

Chem 200 (THESIS): Solis, Jose

Hihi, yep, phychem thesis ko. Naghahanap plng kami ng journals and collecting/preparing our samples sa sem na ito. + naghahanap kami ng procedures on how to proceed with our thesis :)

NOTE: 1st sem lang ganito ka-light. Nag start kami sa sem break (as in 7am-9pm?) tas BUONG 2nd sem hanggang Lantern Parade usually nasa Research bldg lang kami hahaha pero masaya kasi karamihan sa batch, lagi nasa research bldg so lagi nagkikita :)

LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST...

CHEM 112 (Inorganic Chemistry): VILLARAZA, AARON; PAYAWAN, LEON
RATING: 9/10

Ok, so Tip #1, don't take anything personally haha. Basta, ayoko na i-kwento mga happenings :)) TIP #2, ARAL PALAGI (BETTER AS A STUDY GROUP).

Yeah, same case sa chem 102.2... buong weekend nag aaral lang kami for the exam and usually it isn't enough pa dahil sa complexity ng exam =))

hahaha, okay so sa first part, si sir villaraza. Magaling si sir... as in... kaya always listen to his discussions and take down notes.

Through hard work + SOBRAAAANG daming prayers, makakaraos hahaha

3rd yr, summer

WALA LANG HIHI.

-OJT TIME-

3rd yr, 2nd sem

Okay, it has been a year na since I've taken these classes under these profs. So let me see kung kaya pa haha

Chemistry 146 (biochem II): HERNANDEZ, CHRISTINE
RATING: 9/10

Okay, biochem nanaman hahaha One notable diff about the exams of chem 145 and 146 was that sa 146, it isn't as important to memorize every detail of a protein but what it actually does. Parang puro practical stuff or its role sa mga cycles. Basahin lang yung biochem books (also, yung instant notes help) :P hahaha esp since sobrang bigat ng load this sem. :)
PS. maraming quizzes dito so it would help to take notes.

Chemistry 154 (Phychem II): SOLIS, Jose
RATING: 8/10

Ok, 8 'to dahil mej based sa ppt mag discuss si sir. Basta READ AND UNDERSTAND yung mga ppt! =)) haha kebs naman :) kayang kaya intindihin from sir's powerpoints.

Tapos, maraming quizzes and prob sets dito (every topic meron). Tip ko is to do the prob sets kasi kung effortan na gawin yung prob sets, kayang kaya na mga exams :) aun!

down side is...mej nakakaantok si sir at times kasi may ppt lang and hindi siya masyadong chalk talk.

Chemistry 156 (Phychem III AKA, quantum chem): Lim, Len; Claudio, Gil
NO RATING

Sa first part nung quantum chem namin, si sir claudio nag handle. Basahin yung book (esp yung examples and Title ng each concept ng McQuarrie). huhu good luck na lang <///3 1pm ata class namin this time, as in lab for 4hrs, 30 mins tapos break ng 90mins... then quantum chem. Kaya all I remember was ang init and sobrang sakit sa ulo ng mga formulas and concepts huhu

Chemistry 102.1 (Integ Biochem/Phychem lab): PUNZALAN; SALVADOR, HERO
RATING: 8/10

FRs were done by pair so make friends with your partner hihi. Masaya naman siya since lab class and bonding bonding sa classmates pero aun... ang saklap ng RDRs, FRs (Na usually sabay sabay ang pasahan since sabay ang expt), prob sets, and exams.

Dito na mag sta-start maging threat for on-time graduation ang lab </3 Kaya effortan ng todo todo! Good luck! :)

PHILOSOPHY 1: PEREZ, ARTURO
RATING: 8/10

Cutie pie ni sir hihi. Here, walang exams na in-class pero may parang 2 major papers ata and isang report na by group? (as far as i can remember) All in all, feel ko naka-depend lang sa attendance 'to (yeah, may attendance all the time). TO SUM IT ALL UP, wag ma-late and wag mag absent, mag pass ng paper (kahit kung may mali mali because the 2nd paper is really hard - for me atleast), and sure UNO na. :)

ANTHRO 10: OCHOA, JANINE
Rating: 8/10

4-5:30 ata ang class ko na 'to so sobrang nakakaiyak lang na tumataas ka pa ng AS habang yung iba, tapos na. chos hahaha May long exams and project dito. Hmmmm, for the exams, basahin lang readings kahit once or twice kung may time and makinig kay maam. Yung project naman, parang iisip ng idea for a poster tas iprepresent and gagawan ng paper. Anyways, mukha siyang stressful pero by group so... huhu kaya yan hahaha!

may one time na each group had to bring one kind of food ganun! Sobrang saya kasi ang daming pagkain! YEHEEEEY! :">

3rd Year, 1st Sem

Haha, sorry po, mej tinatamad mag update :))

ANYWAAAAYS,
Only time sa undergrad life ko na wala kaming lab subject. So walang FRs, Prob sets, RDRs sa lab! hihi Sobrang malaking load ang tinaggal sa shoulders namin dahil walang lab. haha. Since I took physics na the summer before this sem, malamang ang chill ko na.

BIOLOGY 1: HERRERA, ANNABELLE

MAY ATTENDANCE. Tapos may dalawang long exams. Yung first long exam, kaya ng stock knowledge..swear haha. Yung second long exam, mag basa ng kahit konti huhu! hihi keri na keri yung subject :) Super chill lang nito and may mga 'news sharing' wherein hahanap ka ng news about the topic. Di yan required...may bonus points lng sa long exam pag nag present ka hihi! see? madali lng diba? :) may final exam pero exemption is 3.0 naman ata...so in other words, walang final exam :p

sad part is, sa news sharing lng ako natuto ng new things. :( yung topics kasi are your typical bio topics, so parang review na lang yung GE.

Score: 8/10

Russian 10: BOGNOT: HERMAN
Nahirapan ako dito kasi learn to love your own language before learning a new language. Which means, in tagalog nag lelecture si sir. ;____; pero kebs naman. walang written exam nung time namin. Take home exam and homeworks lang (na nasa likod lng naman ng libro yung sagot). Hard part lang siguro sa russian is that may sarili silang alphabet and may gender gender yung words. may tatlong oral exam (kebs lang ulit since he'll tell you what he wants from the oral exam na aman beforehand kaya you have time to prepare for it). hihi overall, keri lang although ito ang least fav subject ko nung 1st sem, considering na may biochem, phychem, and math ako :)) Pero mabait si sir hihi

Score: 8/10

PE2: Line Dancing: AGUILAR, MYNETTE

mabait si maam. just do what she tells you to do and practice the dances. fun ito! wag laitin dahil sa name haha. aun. ok naman and fun siya. Hindi haggard pumunta sa vanguard for this pe hihi

Score: 9/10

CHEMISTRY 145 (BIOCHEMISTRY): SABIDO, PORTIA

Sobraaaaaang galing ni maam magturo hihi. Pero if mag bi-biochem ka under kay maam sabido, make sure na di ka mala-late kasi may quiz and homework LAGI. Okay lang naman kasi it's about the discussion sa previous meeting. And magaling talaga siya magturo. PROMISE. I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THAT POINT MORE. Hard part lang was yung long exams! walang definite style! minsan yung mechanisms of yung pag bibind ni enzyme tinatanong, minsan drawing ng DNA (as in with yung phosphate, sugar, and bases drawn out). So in other words, study everything hihi. Anyways! masaya naman biochem, so keri. Read the reference book (Biochem 4th ed Voet nung time namin) and listen to maam. And know what you read (pati yung figures and mechanisms). Important mga yun. aun! hihi Make sure na ma-exempt sa final exam kasi mahiraaaap :)) If exempted ka, I suggest, WAG NA MAG TAKE kasi baka bumaba pa ang grade.

Score: 10/10

CHEMISTRY 153 (PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY): NUESCA, GUILLERMO

:) MAY PROBSETS, LIKE ALL THE TIME. Make sure to do it kasi pang review na rin for the long exams... ganyan din itsura nung mga problems sa long exam (may nadagdagan lng na parts kasi departmental yung exam). AND PANG PATAAS NG GRADE YUNG PROB SETS! HIHIHI Make sure to aim for exemption kasi mahirap daw!! Another thing! Kung kailangan ng consultation, go lang kay sir! wag mahiya! hihi mas magaling mag turo si sir pag consultation :) AND pwede rin mag pa-consult for the prob set :) Make sure to read yung reference book din for the prob sets and exams! (Phychem by Levine)

Score: 9/10

MATH 121.1: PAGUIO, VICTORIA MAY

Ang ganda and cute ni maam! If may iso-solve siya na example, matutuwa siya and all. hihi. Magaling magturo si maam and clear lahat. For the exams, practice lang ng practice ng examples and problems. Keri! hihi Mabait na prof si maam! May exemption nanaman sa final exam and here's the great part! Kung exempted ka, pwede mo parin i-take yung final exam, kung bababa grade mo because of it, mavo-void. If tataas naman grade mo because of the final exam, tataas! IN OTHER WORDS, walang risk kung mag take ka ng final exam if exempted ka! :) And masaya nung time namin kasi FINALLY, aircon na math classroom namin haha. (unlike sa 50 series) :))

Score: 10/10

Auuuun! besides sa fact na wala kaming lab this sem, pwede pa na walang final exam if exempted sa lahat! Yey! haha so sa mga chem majors na juniors diyan, enjoy enjoy na kasi yung 3rd yr 2nd sem and 4th yr, 1st sem ay medyo haggard haggardan na ulit :)) PERO PUSH! More than halfway through na kau! :D

2nd Year, Summer

This summer, I decided to take Physics 72 and Physics 72.1. 7am-9am ung lab ko. while 9-11:30am (or 11:45?) ung lec. everyday yan, monday-friday (kasi summer). Took my physics subjects na instead of following our curriculum kasi...ayoko nga mag 20 units hahaha!

PHYSICS 72: GARCIA, WILSON
Pang physics majors ata si sir kaya naman na-culture shock (wrong use of the term..sorry haha) kami when he taught us. And since NIP ito...aircon hehe. Nage-gets naman si sir pero mas mahirap than normal ung mga long exams. (hindi pa departmental pag summer T_T) REMEMBER LANG! Physics ito which means mas maganda mag-aral by solving mga sample exams than just reading about theory. (ididiscuss naman ni sir ung theory! so makinig nalang hehe)

RATING: 8/10

PHYSICS 72.1: PRIETO, ELIZABETH ANN

Keri lang. nage-gets naman ung lab modules kaya i-read and gawin nalang ung mga 'technical reports' (ito ba tawag? basta FR version ng NIP..basically the same) and kaya naman i-solve ung mga nasa worksheet by just reading the theory na nasa lab module. It won't hurt din to solve the THEORETICAL VALUES before doing the experiment para may clue kau anu dapat itsura ng data haha. Importante ung %error dito eh. If malaki masyado..MALI. Ayoko lang dito is ung final exam (ung stations) :(

RATING: 10/10
